Our partners Eutelsat and Viasat operate geostationary (GEO) satellites, which orbit 22,000 miles above the earth. As GEO satellites operate in a fixed position and at a greater distance than ‘LEO’ (Low Earth Orbit) satellites, fewer are required to cover the same area of the globe.
We offer a range of plans with differing levels of data speed and data allowance. The minimum download speed offered is faster than a typical digital subscriber line (DSL) or 4G LTE mobile service. Our premium package can deliver speeds of up to 50 Mbps with over 150 GB of inclusive data.
The equipment supplied by Brdy comprises of:
Satellite dish and transceiver
To be positioned on a wall or roof with a clear line of sight to the southern sky. The typical dish we use will be around 75cm in diameter.
Modem
Connected via cable to the dish and positioned inside your property. As with a domestic modem, you then connect devices to the modem via Wi-Fi or an ethernet cable.
Installation takes between 2 – 3 hours and will be completed by our installation team at a time to suit your business requirements.
