Launched in October 2023 by Arianespace and built by Thales Alenia Space, KVHTS provides reliable, high-speed connectivity for fixed, mobile and government applications across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
Geostationary satellites orbit the Earth at the same rotational speed as the planet, allowing them to remain fixed above a particular point on the equator. This is possible because they circle at an altitude of about 22,236 miles (35,786 kilometres) above the Earth, in what’s called a geostationary orbit.
The equipment comprises of:
Satellite dish and transceiver
To be positioned on a wall or roof with a clear line of sight to the southern sky.
Modem
Connected via cable to the dish and positioned inside your property. As with a domestic modem, you then connect devices to the modem via Wi-Fi or an ethernet cable.
Installation takes between 2 – 3 hours and will be completed by our installation team at a time to suit your business requirements.
